NEW!!

Hello,

My name is Scooby and I am the black and white piggy in this photo. I loved your site and all the beautiful piggies, and so I wanted to join in.

The other piggy in the photo is Shaggy. He was my best friend and we did everything together, but sadly he has gone to the big cage in the sky for a sleep.

But he wouldn't want me to be sad, so I keep on doing all the piggy things we did together. My favourite things are eating parsley, having a cuddle in front of the TV, and skipping and hopping round the lawn. I am almost six years old, but still keen to date.....any girly piggies out there?

Love Scooby xx

Squirk's Pigs

Hello, Here are a couple of pictures of my pigs for the shiny new website (very exciting!)

Trick is the orange and white. Trick is a very bossy pig and is known for her tyranny as far as the wilds of Epsom. Moschops the adventurer likes being a lookout - climbing and jumping to the highest place no matter where she is.

Hello, Everyone.

We are brothers, Marcel (left) and Albere (A.K.A. Bertie). We are 1 year 2 months and we now live with some strange, hairless creatures called Alison and Alan. Unfortunately, despite being the most handsome things on the planet, we had a very bad start in life; we were neglected - underweight and dirty. Luckily Alison spotted us on-line and came to pick us up from the RSPCA in Brighton. We are now truly loved - given cucumber and other treats on demand and the free-run of a massive kitchen, although we spend most of the time curled up in our comfy pet-beds.

Hello. This is the picture Margaret sent me of the three stooges, that we have adopted today (see post on message board) is it possible to put them on the board or site?

Many thanks Deborah

The first picture is of my group of girls. From left to right, there is Angela, Celeste, Gabby and Gloria. In this picture Gabby is about 3 weeks old.

The second picture is of my boy Mojo, who I could not put in the first picture, as he would like to be the husband of any of the ladies very badly (Angela and him spend the most time trying to get at each other through the bars, so I consider them "dating":)

The third picture was taken 4 days after Gabby was born and is pictured here with her mother on my bed. She was born March 21 (international day for the elimination of racism) at 1am.

Hi, These are 5 of the six babies born here last year. The mum, was found eating the leg off one soon after birth, that one later died. During the following week, 4 more of the babies died, we were up at the vets nearly every day, with some problem or another, complete hair loss in 24 hours in one, what looked like a broken neck in another and so it went on. The vet diagnosed meningitis, and the little black faced baby is the only one who made it, he is now nearly a year old, and doing well in the home of a very disabled lady. They are about a day old here, and sitting in a pigeon nest pan.Poor little mites.

This is Lucy Nibbles. She visited the North Pole last year just so she could see Santa Clause. She was delighted with the experience and wheeked all the way home. Lucy is almost two year old (one year at time of photo) and lives alone with me in Ohio, USA.

I have attached 2 pictures of my beloved Sweety for your guest page. He is 5 years old and is a much loved and pampered baby. Unfortunately he has on going trouble with chronic rhinitis and dental problems. We see a lovely vet / rodentologist every 6 - 8 weeks in order to trim his back teeth, which arch over his tongue. He lives in the lounge in a 'designer Sweety box' made from wood and glass and he has the run of the room every evening. His favourite hobby is sleeping on his little fleecy bed with his soft toys, especially the unicorn. Sweety is beginning to look frail and old now but I love him just as much as ever!!

Kind regards, Jenny

This is Pig 3, a somewhat dysfunctional rodent. He was never even meant to stay for very long (that's why he was only given a number) but he needed to be calmer before I could let him move on - and by that time we had adopted each other.

Take care, Grünfeld

Here is a photo of my guinea pig Henry (Hank) D. Gama. He is very sweet and even tempered. His favorite foods include carrots, celery, clover, and yogurt drops. His favorite toy is his rock collection. His favorite activities are sleeping, eating, and relaxing. He has a job and it involves licking the various pieces of furniture around the house (we assume he is trying to clean them).

Hi, My name Isabelle and I am 14 years old. I live in Cyprus, which makes it hard work to look after G-Pigs as it is so hot out here. The lucky things have the luxury of Air Conditioning during the day!

I thought I'd send in this picture of my two G-Pigs, Chocolate (left) and Fudge (right). Fudge is about 7 months and Chocolate is about 2-3 months old now. Chocolate likes to explore every nook-and-cranny with Fudge often not far behind!

Here are photos of my beloved cavies. Dear Ernie went to the Rainbow Bridge on 17 May 2002. Will fortunately found another companion in Kurt, who is about two. Each pig is individual and each is delightful.

In the pic, from left to right, there is:

Hanson: Our 4th GP. We often pop into the Pet Shop just to look at the GP's, with no intention to buy, but one day there was Hanson. He seemed fully grown, but was cowering from the other GP's & seemed very afraid. He also had scarred ears from past encounters with GP's. We just had to bring him home & cuddle him. He's still a big sook (not brave), but loves company & freeranging now.

Britney: the brown one with the funky hair! Britney was our 3rd GP. She is a sweetheart. We discovered her at a friend of a friends home, in a box & all but forgotten. She appeared to be only a week or so old, & apparently her mother & the rest of her litter had died in an outside elevated hutch from the cold in the middle of winter. Her owners said they were just "waiting for her to die too", so I asked if I could have her. She is very healthy & happy now, purrs all the time, & has had 2 beautiful litters.

Melanie: poor Mel.. She was our 1st GP, so beautiful with her long flowing black & white coat, given to us by a friend when she was young. She is suffering so much & has had many trips to the vet in the last few weeks, but continues to deterioriate :( She has lost most of her hair, has sores all over her, in the last 10 days she's developed terrible bumblefoot in both front feet & she throws fits that are heartwrenching to watch. She spends all her time either scratching/biting herself, or sitting there doing nothing, like she's meditating. The vet has done several skin scrappings with no result, & has been giving her an Ivermectin injection each week. Last week she started Mel on liquid antibiotics as well. None of this seems to be helping, but I feel a little encouraged by what I've read on your site regarding fungus, Griseofulvin & essential oils.

Taylor Dayne: Day-nee Way-nee, as we lovingly call her, was our 2nd GP, bought for company for Mel, & also so my daughters had a GP each. She is my favourite & has loads of personality & she is quite open to interacting with humans, & isn't nervous in the way our other GP's are. She loves food & is forever conning us for bits of celery & carrot, in her irresistible way. She will also walk towards me, squeaking, when she's in the backyard, for food or if she feels something is wrong.. the other GP's just scurry all the time. All my GP's love music & will purr, but Taylor purrs the most. She will purr everytime I pat her.

This is my pride and joy, Buster. This picture was taken when he was one or two years old. He is now four and will be celebrating his fifth on November 20th. He is certainly a joy to have and I treat him like I would a baby. I consider him my son rather than my pet. I make sure he gets all the love and attention he can get from me.

This is Harry, he's a Golden Satin. He's one year and three months old. I won't say how old the human is! Old enough! Harry is quirky, adventurous, and easily distracted by attractive sows. He has three sons, Finn MacCool, Oberon (who's away on secret boy piggy business - OK he's visiting some sows round the corner!) and Odhinn who's the odd one out - a pink-eyed White Satin. We all live in Western Australia which has a wonderful temperate climate.

Hello, My name is Jessica and my guineapig pics are in the attachment.

Noel is the mother of 5 babies, who are Nala, Cocoapuff, Kiwi, Simba and Hunny. She likes to have a lot of attention. Cocoapuff likes to be held real close and carried around. Kiwi is a sweetie with a soft heart. Simba is the runt of the litter but acts as the biggest, stongest one. Nala likes to be pat and likes to run around. Nala is pregnant!

Here's an updated photo of my three boys; the little one on the left is Tika, the gentleman in the middle is Pacha, and the VERY relaxed guy on the right is Chico. Chico is also known as "Boss Hog;" in spite of his laid-back appearance he is definitely in charge of the other 2. He also has me completely trained, but we won't tell him that, will we?
